Computer Labs
Most of the courses require the students to implement their homeworks
and projects on modern (Unix/Linux/Solaris/WindowsXP) operating
systems. There are 5 individual laboratories.. All the computers
are
inter-connected via a fast Ethernet, which is linked to the METU ATM
Campus Backbone via Gibabit connection.

The Computer Engineering Department was seeded back in 1967, as a
service department to teach courses in computer science discipline to
other academic departments in Middle East Technical University (METU).
In 1977, the department was integrated into Faculty of Engineering with
the current name of “Computer Engineering Department,” delegated the
new mission of providing degree programs of its own. |
