Prof. Dr. A. Ziya Aktaş, one of the retired faculty members of our university, who was a lecturer and department head in the Department of Computer Engineering, passed away on November 10, 2023.

A ceremony will be held at the Turkish Grand National Assembly on Saturday, November 11, at 11:00, for the deceased, who was a member of parliament in the 20th and 21st terms and also served as Minister of Energy and Natural Resources in the 56th government. The funeral prayer of the deceased will be performed following the noon prayer at Kocatepe Mosque and his body will be buried in Gölbaşı cemetery.
